I had no idea what I was purchasing when I bought these. The keys slide downwards into the slots. They fit together snugly and create a singular plate which holds onto the batteries with an attitude. When I first realized what they were I thought to myself: 'Good. If I change my mind, then I can remake the batteries.' But after I got done, I realized that taking them apart would not be easy. They are meant to go together and stay together and the larger the battery, the more truthful that becomes. I am not disappointed with the realization because it means my battery packs will not be falling apart. I made battery packs with 40 batteries in each pack. Using all-treads, I bolted 3/8 thick polypropylene (plastic) to the top and the bottom to protect the terminals while unbolting would make them accessible again. Good thing. Let's just say that 'the third time is a charm.' I am very pleased with my build. These spacers hold the batteries apart so that they may breathe. LiFePo batteries with the bolts are perfect for the do-it-yourselfer. BattleBorn, be jealous because you have just been beat.
